Description
Appalachian Outdoors is the camp-and-cabin bar: citronella and lemongrass over our regular soap recipe.
It will not replace a dedicated repellent like Mountain Shield, but it is the bar people throw in a kit bag because it smells like the woods and washes off trail dust. 6.5 oz, made in West Virginia.
Each full bar is a 6.5 ounce cold-process soap, made in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and cured 4–6 weeks so it lasts in the shower. The base is coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, shea butter, castor oil, and cocoa butter, superfatted so the lye is used up.
The same recipe is used in selected West Virginia State Park cabins and lodges.
