Description
Some scents try to smell like the woods. This one smells like the man who walked them.
Gunpowder & Leather opens with black powder and warm metal, settles into oiled leather and beeswax, and leaves a trail of pine smoke and cold ridge air. Handcrafted in the mountains, meant to be used, not displayed. Stand on the rock. Hold the line. Wash up after.
The open is sharp and dry: spent powder, warm metal, and a pinch of campfire ash. Under that sits tanned leather, beeswax, and the faint sweetness of pine pitch on a rifle stock. It finishes clean, like cold air off the gorge after the shot fades.
Built for the mountaineer on the label. Not a costume. A working scent.
Each full bar is 6.5 ounces of cold-process soap, made in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and cured 4–6 weeks. Coconut, palm, olive, shea, castor, and cocoa butter — superfatted so the lye is gone when you use it.
