People compare soap by the sticker price on one bar. That hides the real number: what you pay per ounce. Wild Mountain full bars are 6.5 ounces after they cure — larger than most “natural men’s” bars sold online.

What the numbers mean
- Against other handmade soap: $9.49 for 6.5 oz is in the normal artisan range — and bigger than the usual 4–5 oz market bar.
- Against Dr. Squatch: On list price, we are within a few cents per ounce, and you get 1.5 extra ounces in every bar. Their sale price and 6-packs undercut a single WM bar. Our 3-bar bundle ($1.28/oz) beats their $7 list price.
- Against Duke Cannon: Their $9 brick is 10 oz, so it wins on ounces per dollar. It is also a triple-milled factory bar, not a small-batch cold-process bar made in West Virginia.
- Against grocery “natural” bars (Every Man Jack and similar): they are cheaper per ounce. You are paying us for the recipe, the 4–6 week cure, and that it is made here.
Our bar, measured
A Wild Mountain full bar is about 3.75 × 3 × 1.5 inches and 6.5 oz after cure. Water leaves the bar while it cures, so that 6.5 oz is finished weight — the weight that lasts in your shower.
